Financial Literacy Week - 2026

As envisioned in NSFE (2020-25), one of the strategic action points is to observe a Financial Literacy Week during every year on the lines of the Financial Literacy Week being observed by RBI and a Digital Financial Services Day once a year to bring financial awareness among masses.

In this connection, Financial Literacy Week (FLW) will be observed from February 09, 2026 to February 13, 2026 on the theme of “KYC – सुरक्षा की ओर पहला कदम / Your First Step to Many
Safeguards
” which aligns with the strategic objectives of the National Strategy for Financial Education: 2020-2025 and the following activities would be undertaken during the event.

Reel-Making Competition

Participants are invited to take part in the Reel Making Competition organised by the National Centre for Financial Education (NCFE) as part of Financial Literacy Week 2026. Participants must submit one original reel focusing on a selected financial literacy theme, adhering to the prescribed technical and content guidelines.  Entries must be original, factually accurate, ethical, and free from copyright violations. Submissions are accepted only through the link provided on the NCFE website between 9 February and 28 February 2026 (11:59 PM IST). By submitting an entry, participants agree to the Terms and Conditions and grant NCFE full rights to use the content for educational and promotional purposes.

Competition Details

  • Eligibility: Open to all Indian citizens (individuals or teams)

  • Launch & Opening of Submissions: 9 February 2026

  • Last Date for Submission: 28 February 2026 (11:59 PM IST)

  • Reel Duration: 30 to 60 seconds

  • Format: Vertical or horizontal

  • Language: English or in any 8th Schedule language (Assamese, Bengali, Bodo, Dogri, Gujarati, Hindi, Kannada, Kashmiri, Konkani, Malayalam, Manipuri, Marathi, Maithili, Nepali, Oriya, Punjabi, Sanskrit, Santhali, Sindhi, Tamil, Telugu, Urdu)

  • Subtitles: English subtitles are mandatory

Slogan Writing Competition

The competition is open to students of Classes 6 to 10 from schools registered under the Money Smart School Programme between 1 January 2025 and 31 January 2026. Participants may submit only one original, unpublished slogan of 2–8 words on specified financial literacy themes. Entries must be appropriate, lawful, and grammatically correct, in English or any Schedule VIII language with English translation. Submissions are accepted only through the NCFE website. By participating, students grant usage rights to NCFE and agree to all rules, copyright compliance, and Mumbai jurisdiction.
