About Quiz

The National level Financial Literacy Quiz contest is a step towards assessing and improving the financial literacy among the school students across the country. This is a proctored quiz conducted by the National Centre for Financial Education (NCFE) in coordination with financial sector regulators viz. RBI, SEBI, IRDAI and PFRDA. The registration for the quiz will start from June 01, 2025 11 AM to June 30, 2025 05:00 PM and the participants can take the quiz from June 14, 2025 12.01 AM to June 30, 2025 11.59 PM. The objective of online quiz competition is to make the students aware of basic financial literacy and to increase financial awareness amongst them with a vision of “A financially aware and empowered India”.

Quiz Category

The quiz will be conducted for 3 categories based on the participant’s current school year i.e.

• Junior (For students of Class 6th to 8th)
• Intermediate (For students of Class 9th & 10th)
• Senior (For students of Class 11th & 12th).

Participants are requested to carefully choose the standard as it cannot be modified once selected.

E- Participation Certificate will be issued to all the Participants post completion of the quiz.

Eligibility

• All the students who have currently enrolled in any School/Junior College from Class 6th to Class 12th in India and citizen of India.
• Only one entry per person is allowed. Entries more than once by same participant will lead to automatic disqualification.
• NCFE reserves the right to conduct necessary checks in order to verify thegenuineness of the participants. Incomplete applications will result in disqualification.
• The quiz will be conducted in online mode only.
• NCFE reserves the right to ask any questions related to financial literacy andawareness.
• NCFE’s decision will be final and binding on all the participants.
• Participation in the quiz implies that participants accept the integrity of these rules. Non- compliance with the rules results in the automatic disqualification of the participation in the quiz and of the candidacy for the prize.

Quiz Pattern

• Quiz duration is 30 minutes.
• The questions will be bilingual viz. English and Hindi.
• No. of questions in the quiz will be 30.
• Questions will be of multiple choice/ objective type.
• No negative marking.
• Remote Proctoring based Quiz.
• In case of any ambiguity in the questions, the English version will prevail.

• Fill in all the details correctly as requested in the Student Registration Form.
• Provide valid email ID and mobile number. Information related to prizes and certificates will be sent to the registered email ID and mobile number
• Re-verify all the details before final submission.
• After successful registration, participate in quiz from June 14, 2025 12.01 AM to June 30, 2025 11.59 PM as per Indian standard time.

• North Zone – Delhi (NCT), Chandigarh, Jammu & Kashmir, Haryana, Himachal Pradesh, Punjab and Rajasthan
• Central Zone – Chhattisgarh, Madhya Pradesh, Uttar Pradesh and Uttarakhand
• East Zone – Andaman & Nicobar Island, Bihar, Jharkhand, Odisha, Sikkim and West Bengal
• North East Zone – Arunachal Pradesh, Assam, Manipur, Meghalaya, Mizoram, Nagaland and Tripura
• West Zone – Goa, Gujarat, Maharashtra, Dadra, Nagar, Haveli, Daman and Diu
• South Zone – Andhra Pradesh, Karnataka, Kerala, Tamil Nadu, Telangana, Lakshadweep and Puducherry

The criteria for declaring the results are as follows:

• Students will be ranked according to the highest marks obtained.
• In the event of a tie in marks, the student who completed the quiz in the least amount of time (in seconds) will be ranked higher.
• If a tie still persists, the student who attempted the quiz earlier (based on date and time) will be given preference.
